Notice of Race

 MINNIS BAY SAILING CLUB. F18 & Spitfire Open Meeting

+ Single Handed Handicap {Shadows, Catapults, Stealth}

 April 17th /18th 2010Entry fee: £35.00

1. Rules

Racing will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing, MBSC Open Meeting Sailing Instructions and their amendments. 

2. Entries

Entries will be accepted at registration. Entrants must be members of relevant Class Associations. 

3. Schedule of Races

Sat 17th April
Briefing 11:00
Race 1 12:00 hrs. Races 2 and 3 will follow
Sunday 18th April. Race 4 10:30 hrs. Races 5 and 6 will follow. No race start after 15:00 

4. Sailing Instructions

Sailing Instructions will be available at registration and elsewhere on this web site. 

5. Scoring System

5.1. The Low Point scoring system of RRS Appendix A will apply.

5.2. 2 Races will constitute a series.

5.3. When fewer than 3 races are completed, a boat’s score will be the total of her race scores.

5.4. When 3 or more races are completed, a boat’s score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score. 

6. Prizes

There will be a prize for the overall winner of each fleet. The number of prizes for further positions in the fleet will be dependent on the number of entries. The prizes will be presented after the conclusion of the last race. 

7. Social Arrangements

Clubhouse opens from Friday evening.  Food and refreshments provided on Saturday and Sunday.  Breakfast served on Saturday and Sunday mornings.  Evening meal provided on Saturday evening (price included in entry fee for competitors).

 8. Conditions of Entry

8.1. The safety of a boat and her entire management including insurance shall be the complete responsibility of the owner/competitor racing the boat. The sailing instructions in no way limit or reduce the complete responsibility of the owner/competitor for his crew, his boat and the management thereof.
